| It is the women of Pi Beta Phi who make our Fraternity
the quality organization it is. This is especially true
in the Phoenix Alumnae Club, where we have elected the
best of our best to act as our chapter presidents.
Kim OBrien, co-president, 2007-2009; president 2005-2007
Kim OBrien pledged Pi Phi as a junior at Miami of Ohio.
She was initiated in 1980. After college, she moved
back home to teach elementary school in a suburb north
of Atlanta. A few short moves (and marriages) later,

in the Scottsdale Unified School District as a reading
specialist. She became a member of the Phoenix Alumnae
Club in 2001 and took on the role of AZ Beta liaison,
then VP of programs for two years. Kim is also house
corp chair for the AZ Beta chapter at Arizona State
University (ASU). She won Advisor of the Year through
Panhellenic at ASU in 2006. Kim’s parents recently relocated
to Scottsdale, which keeps her busy along with her Pi
Phi commitments. She loves volunteering, including her
work with Pets on Wheels, in which she and Ginger, the
Pi Phi mascot, visit nursing homes. Kim is eagerly looking
forward to Convention next summer.
